Proposal: There are two trees in the front garden of the house. Tree 1 is the one nearer the postbox on the corner. Tree 2 is the next large tree in the direction of the back gate of the property. The roots of both trees have grown so much that are bringing the boundary wall down and causing cracks in the public pathway. The wall has now got so many severe cracks that are making it unsafe, and the slightest touch could bring the whole wall down. This is a frequently used pathway, and the damaged caused by the trees are making the wall a hazard to anybody walking beside it. We would like to bring the trees down as their position is very close to the wall and replace them with smaller specimens more appropriate to the size of the plot, planted at an adequate distance from the wall to avoid this dangerous situation arising in the future. In addition to the danger that they are causing, Tree 1 has had radical tree surgery in the past by previous owners that has compromised its asthetic value for the street.
